Yoyogi 1993 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Dilate Your Mind Tour at the Yoyogi Olympic Arena in Tokyo, Japan on 15 December 1993.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Yoyogi Olympic Arena, a 13,000 capacity venue located at 2-1, Jinnan, Shibuya in Tokyo. This was the first of two shows held at the venue on the tour.

Returning to the city where they first played in 1982, Duran Duran got the concert underway with "Too Much Information". The band now composed of original members Simon Le Bon, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes, along with Warren Cuccurullo on guitar, continued with the Bernard Edwards produced "A View to a Kill".

For nearly two hours Duran Duran played a rousing show that featured a selection of their biggest hits, album favorites and songs from their latest release, Duran Duran.

During the evening, Le Bon got the Tokyo audience to sing the "No-No-Notorious" intro to their 80s hit "Notorious". John Taylor played bass, whilst wearing a kilt.

Duran Duran closed the show with "The Wild Boys", the only studio track on the live album Arena.

Tickets for the event cost 7,500 and 8,500 Japanese Yen.
