Written by Duran Duran, the band co-produced the track with Nile Rodgers.

The song was also released as a B-side to the "Notorious" single in October 1986. This was the first time on a Duran Duran single that the B-side was not an original recording, because "Winter Marches On" was the unretouched album version. Before this, Duran Duran had always provided either completely original songs, or previously unheard remixes on the B-side.
