Westside Demos is an unofficial Duran Duran compilation album, featuring a collection of Notorious demo tracks recorded in 1986.

About the album Edit

All the tracks on the album are instrumentals demos, named after Alfred Hitchcock thriller movies. These instrumentals were recorded at the beginning of the demo sessions for Notorious, which began at London's Westside Studios on 19 June 1986.

Composed by Simon Le Bon, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes, the only instruments used for these recordings were bass, keyboards and a drum machine. This was because neither Andy Taylor or Warren Cuccurullo had arrived for the beginning of the demo sessions.

Track 3: "Notorious" is also known as "Take it to Me", which is also available on other bootlegs including Out of Notorious.

"Vertigo" and "Rope feature on Dance Into The Fire as bonus tracks.
