Wembley: April 14, 2004 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Reunion Tour at Wembley Arena in London, UK on 14 April 2004.

About the album

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Wembley Arena, an indoor venue located opposite Wembley Stadium with a capacity of 12,500. This was the second of five shows performed at the venue on the tour.

The show was part of a series played at Wembley Arena, filmed for the 2004 Live from London DVD. The Wembley shows featured all five original band members returning to the venue after a gap of more than 20 years.

After a 35-minute set by English electronic music duo Goldfrapp, the lights dropped, plunging the sold-out Wembley Arena into darkness. For several minutes, there was a low, droning bass noise. Then, in a carefully choreographed manner, the five original members of Duran Duran, each dressed from head to toe in black, slowly walked to the front of the stage.

The show was launched with an unknown song called "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise", a track with such instant appeal that the packed arena was soon on its feet and singing along.

Next was "Hungry Like the Wolf". This led into "Planet Earth", played with background screens projecting images of planets.

Soon, Simon Le Bon had the opportunity to introduce "What Happens Tomorrow", the second new song of the show. The track featured Andy Taylor performing a guitar solo.

"New Religion" had everyone on their feet again. "I Don't Want Your Love" included a lot of interaction between Le Bon and backing singer Joanne Yearwood, with Le Bon on his knees in front of her at one point.

The set spanned Duran Duran's entire career and was not simply a run-through of their hit singles. The band finished the show with "Rio".

Tickets for the event cost around £30.00.
