Uncasville 2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT, USA on 3 April 2005.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Mohegan Sun Casino, a 12,000 capacity venue located at Mohegan Sun Blvd. This was the only show held in the state of Connecticut on the tour.

Orange, red and violet lights flashed in sequence over the stage as Duran Duran opened the show with "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise". The stage then came alive with strobe lights and mist when the band kicked into high gear and played their second song "Hungry Like the Wolf".

"Hold Back the Rain" was performed under a light show projecting various images, with strong guitar chords by Andy Taylor.

Throughout the night, Duran Duran mixed most of their greatest hits with new songs. In total, seven tracks from Astronaut were played.

After a brief break, the band returned for two encores, "Girls on Film" and "Rio".

Duran Duran would return to Connecticut for the first two shows of The Red Carpet Massacre Tour, performed during October 2007.
