Ultra Rare Trax is an unofficial Duran Duran compilation album, released as part of the Ultra Rare Trax series.

About the album Edit

The album includes the 12" version of "Drowning Man", a track originally released during 1987 on Master Mixes in four countries. The version on this CD fades out early after 3:55 minutes.

The title track from Duran Duran's 1986 album that pushed forward their Chic influences to the fore. This "Disconet" mix features cutting funk guitars and bass.

"I Don't Want Your Love"
The "Prime Cuts" people use the "I Don't Want Your Love" song as a backing track with additional instruments.

"Save a Prayer"
An uptempo and one of the earliest dance version of a Duran Duran track.

"A View To A Kill"
007 meets dance.

"DMC Mega Mix"
This is the first time this version is available on CD, with the previous released in 1984 on the cassette format. The track couples various Duran Duran song together including "Is There Something I Should Know?", "Planet Earth", "Girls on Film" and "Rio".

"All She Wants Is"
Taken from Duran Duran's 1988 Big Thing album, broken down, restructured and remixed.

"Skin Trade"
A track taken the 1986 album Notorious that has been given a club/dance enhancement. This version was originally released on the double one-sided 12" vinyl Master Mixes released in 1987.

"Too Much Information"
The third single from The Wedding Album, remixed by Ben Chapman.

"Violence Of Summer"
A track from Duran Duran's 1990 Liberty album, remixed by Chris Cox.

"Drowning Man"
The USA only extended single released in 1993.
