Jan 15 The Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan died suddenly at the age of 46.
? Upon Dolores O'Riordan's untimely passing, Simon posts “Beloved Dolores, it’s so sad that you’ve gone from us. We never said goodbye, but you left us with your songs, your beautiful voice and when we listen, we’ll remember all those good times.”
Jan 22 John is a guest on Richard Blade’s SIRIUS Radio show where he announces he will be reading the first chapter of Richard’s soon to be released audio book, "WORLD IN MY EYES".
? The hit CW show RIVERDALE features the character Veronica and her band singing a re-worked versions of Duran Duran’s Union of the Snake
Jan 26 Italian promoter David Zard, who brought the Strange Behaviour tour to Italy, passes away. Nick & John share their memories of him in a post online.
Feb 11 To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the release of The Wedding Album, the band shared a special video of their song, Come Undone, filmed at Symphony Hall in Birmingham England on March 19, 1993.
Feb 16 Andy Taylor is 57 years old today.

Mar 7 the band announce they will be releasing a limited edition album, Duran Duran BUDOKAN, during Record Store Day US on April 21.
Mar 10 Duran Duran: Bravo Awards, The Kremlin. The band perform, and give out the Album of the Year Award, at the Bravo Awards, which are held in the Kremlin in Russia.
Mar 14 Simon Le Bon performs Ordinary World on the Sanremo Young show airing on Rai Uno, Italy.
Mar 19 Simon is a guest on Be997 Radio South America for the entire week of March 19 and does a live phone interview with Radio Colombia on March 20, to talk about the 25th anniversary of The Wedding Album.
Mar 28 Duran Duran’s Hungry Like the Wolf is featured in the opening minutes of Steven Spielberg’s READY PLAYER ONE film.
Apr 21 The band release a limited edition album, Duran Duran BUDOKAN, during Record Store Day US on April 21

May ? Speculated: According to John, they first team up with producer Erol Alkan 'six months' after Nick first met Graham Coxon (Nov 17th 2017). They knew of Erol and knew he was a DJ. The evening is made up of two parts – "There’s Something You Should Know", in which band members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor talk about the highs and lows they have endured together over the years. And "Duran Duran: A Night In", where they discuss their influences from the worlds of film and art.
? While promoting the band’s BBC Four Friday Night takeover, Roger and John speak to the following radio stations: 6 Music – Matt Everitt for Music News, Radio 2 – Steve Wright Show, Radio 4 – Front Row & BBC Radio London – Robert Elms Show.
Aug 10 Duran Duran Appreciation Day. The band celebrate Duran Duran Appreciation Day with their fans by posting a video for “Pressure Off/Hold Back the Rain,” filmed in Japan, on their website.
Aug 16 Aretha Franklin passes away. John creates an “Essential Aretha Franklin” Spotify playlist to honour the legend.
Aug 30 The trailer for the new movie, "In2ruders", is released. Nick composes the music for the film and wins a Birmingham Film Award for his work.
Sept ? Speculated: The band contact Blur's Graham Coxon and producer Erol Alkan, and book their first studio session together for November.
Sept 12 Birmingham City University releases its list of 175 “Inspirational Brummies” with both Roger and John making it onto the list; which was topped by Ozzy Osbourne.
Sept 13 Simon becomes the "Ambassador of the Tall Ships Youth Trust". He said, “Tall Ships Youth Trust creates the opportunity for individuals to undertake even more adventures, opening up valuable chances to learn life skills and set them on a good path in life.”
Sept 14 Simon opens the Blue Marine exhibit at the Sun Seeker stand at the Southampton Boat Show where he implores for “more fish, less plastic.”
Oct 8 It is announced that Duran Duran has entered in to a partnership with perfumers D.S. & DURGA for the release a limited edition fragrance line which will include scents Hungry Like The Wolf, Come Undone, Skin Divers & You Kill Me With Silence.
Oct 9 The band appear at Liberty London for the launch party of their new fragrance range.
Oct 13 On National Album Day 2018 [3.33pm GMT on Saturday 13th October] it is announced that Duran Duran’s Rio has been chosen as the best album artwork from 1982.
Oct 18 The thirtieth anniversary of the release of the album Big Thing, Simon, Nick, John and producers Jonathan Elias and Daniel Abraham revisit the making of the album with an oral history.
Oct 27 Simon Le Bon is 60 years old today.
Nov 5 Duran Duran upload a new music video for “The Edge of America,” a song off their 1988 album Big Thing. It was created in collaboration with Colombian-Venezuelan media artist and engineer David Medina.
Nov ? Nick visits the Park Hyatt Tokyo on a recent trip to one of his favourite cities in the world, sharing some thoughts on the Shinjuku neighborhood and what makes Tokyo such a magical place.
