 ? Simon records a duet of "Save A Prayer" with SYN Productions artist Silvio Anastacio singing in Portuguese and Simon singing in English. The song is recorded for a Starbucks compilation album From The Heart to be released in Japan only.
 ? John tapes a guest spot on the Fox Television show That '80s Show.
 ? "Air Race", a single by José Nuñez which uses original samples of "My Own Way" released.
Mar 11 The nu metal band Lostprophets release "The Fake Sound of Progress" single, featuring a cover version of "A View To A Kill.
Mar 14 From The Heart album released during the Japanese White Day celebrations (Valentines Day in Japan) featuring Simon Le Bon
Mar 14 American rock band Deadsy release the album Commencement, featuring John Taylor performing additional bass on the track "She Likes Big Words".
Mar 25 American ska punk band Reel Big Fish release the Sold Out EP, featuring a cover version of "Hungry Like The Wolf".
Apr 17 The arcade version of DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix is released in Japan, featuring "The Reflex".
May 29 That '80s Show episode 13: Sophia's Depressed featuring John Taylor aired in the USA.
 ? The promo only The Devils: Album Sampler released in the UK.
Jul 15 The Devils, featuring Nick Rhodes and original Duran Duran lead singer Stephen Duffy, release Dark Circles in the UK to critical acclaim.
Jul 22 Queen of Japan release the album Headrush, featuring a cover version of "The Wild Boys".
 ? Simon starts Simon's Reader on Duranduran.com, a quarterly feature in which Simon reviews books that are of interest to him. Spin, Blender and USA Today newspaper all tout the merits of his reviews.
 ? The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, OH features Duran Duran in the 50 Years of Rock and Roll exhibit with clothing worn by Nick, John and Roger.
Aug 1 Japanese artist Norico releases the single "Lovely World" in Japan, featuring the song "Beat of My Heart" co-written by Simon Le Bon.
 ? A cover of "Rio" is included on "Spokesman" / "Tell Me" (CD version) by Goldfinger.
Sep 17 "A View To A Kill" is included on The Best of Bond ...James Bond.
Sep-Dec Simon and Nick team up with the The Dandy Warhols to work on their new album Welcome To The Monkey House. Nick is at the helm producing the record and Simon provides guest vocals.
Oct 7 Trash Companion #01 released, featuring Duran Duran.
Oct 8 "Rio" is included on the limited edition Capitol Records: 1942-2002 box set.
Nov 19 The Devils, (Nick Rhodes and Stephen Duffy) perform songs from Dark Circles at London department store Harvey Nichols to a packed crowd that includes both Simon Le Bon and Roger Taylor.
Nov 27 The action thriller film Extreme Ops released, featuring Groove Terminator's cover version of "Notorious".
 ? Celebrations Chocolates and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) come together to put out a series of Christmas Cards made available to the public. World famous photographer The Earl of Lichfield creates twelve stunning cards that are themed around the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas" – but with a modern twist. Featured amongst them is Twelve Drummers Drumming with Roger Taylor.
