The Word (series 5, episode 17) featured Duran Duran and was the final episode of the British long-running comedy, music and chat show, aired on 24 March 1994 in the UK.
About the episode[]
The episode was presented by Terry Christian and was part of a series that pushed forward the boundries of youth TV, with sometimes controversial moments (former presenters include Amanda de Cadenet). During the 60 minute programme Duran Duran performed a setlist that included a cover of "White Lines" with the song's co-writer Melle Mel, and a punk version of "Hungry Like The Wolf" (see video below).
