The Power Station: Houston Texas is an unofficial live album by The Power Station, recorded during The Get It On Tour at the Southern Star Amphitheatre in Houston, TX, USA on 19 July 1985.
About the album[]
This was the first of three shows performed by the band in the state of Texas on the tour, held at a 1700 capacity outdoor amphitheatre located at the southeast corner of AstroWorld in Houston.
Included are various cover versions including The Velvet Underground's "White Light" / "White Heat", T-Rex's "Get It On (Bang a Gong)", Robert Palmer's "Some Guys Have All The Luck" and Duran Duran's "Hungry Like the Wolf".
The opening act for the event was British synthesizer group OMD, and tickets cost from around $15.50.
