The Pearl: 2009 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Summer Tour at The Pearl, Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, USA on 10 July 2009.

About the albumEdit

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at The Pearl, a 2,500 capacity venue located in West Flamingo Road. This was the only show in the state of Nivada on the tour.

The concert began with a performance of "The Wild Boys", followed by "Hold Back the Rain" on a visibly bare stage with only a few streamers as the backdrop.

The album also includes a James Bond-movie theme guitar medley of "Goldfinger", "Diamonds Are Forever" and "You Only Live Twice", which is followed by "A View to a Kill". The medley was first performed with Mark Ronson at the Experience Paris show. The recording was later released as a bonus download track on the War Child: Heroes album, in February 2009.

The concert poster features photography by Stephanie Pistel.
