Strange Behaviour 87: Irvine is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA, USA on 27 July 1987.

About the albumEdit

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, a 16,085 capacity outdoor venue located at 8808 Irvine Center Drive in Irvine. This was the fourth of seven shows performed in the state of California on the tour.

After English synthpop duo Erasure warmed up the crowd, Duran Duran came on stage to an explosion of sound from the crowd. The band then launched into the most successful Bond-movie single, "A View to a Kill".

This was the first glimpse in Irvine of the new-look Duran Duran with Simon Le Bon, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes of the original five members playing in a ten-strong band line-up.

The band played a mixture of new from their album Notorious and old including "The Wild Boys", "Hungry Like the Wolf" and "Save A Prayer".

Tickets for the event cost around $20.00.

The album front cover features photography by Matthew Rolston.
