Written by Duran Duran, the song was produced by John Jones who had previously worked on other band projects including the Liberty album and early live shows.

In 1993 the track was released on the Japanese edition of The Wedding Album and on a limited edition 2-CD album set in the UK. The CD single edition of "Come Undone" also included "Stop Dead".
