Stockholm, Sweden: 28-06-05 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the Cirkus in Stockholm, Sweden on 28 June 2005.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Cirkus, a 1,650 capacity venue built in 1892 and originally used as a circus. This was the only show performed in Sweden on the tour.
Taking to the stage at the Cirkus, Duran Duran stood in line as spotlights randomly lit each member. It was almost 17 years after their last performance in Stockholm, held on 25 November 1988 at Ishalle.
The opening moment was when the backing track to "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise" kicked in and the band jogged to their respective positions to take up their instruments. After opening with a hard edged version of "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise", a selection 80s songs followed, including the Swedish no.1 single "A View to a Kill".
During the evening, the played several song combinations. The first was "Sound of Thunder" mixed with Donna Summer's disco hit "I Feel Love".
Tickets for the event cost around 385.00 Swedish krona.
