About the album
Edit
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, a 1,000 capacity venue located at 8430 Sunset Blvd. This was the third of seven shows performed in the state of California on the tour.
The lights went down. Duran Duran, now composed of original members Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes, along with Warren Cuccurullo on guitar, walked on stage. The show then kicked off with a slow version of "Secret Oktober", a different opening song to other Pop Trash dates.
The setlist also featured other changes, including "Girls on Film" played second. During the evening, Duran Duran treated the crowd to a rare performance of "Friends of Mine".
The album's title, Special Treatment...All The Way, took its name from "Hallucinating Elvis" lyrics, a song from Pop Trash.
