About the album
Edit
The album is the 'complete' recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Ahoy, a 15,000 capacity venue located at Ahoyweg 10 3084 BA in Rotterdam.
This was the only Dutch date on the tour, which is the shortest Duran Duran tour show ever performed.
This Saturday evening kicked off at 8:30pm with Betty Goes Green, a Belgian rock band founded in 1990. They were followed by Dutch funk rock band The Pilgrims.
Touring with an elaborate stage designed by opera and film designer Stefanos Lazaidis, Duran Duran launched their show with a strained version of "Too Much Information". This was the only song Simon Le Bon sung completely.
During the following "Hungry Like The Wolf" Le Bon stopped the concert, announcing he'd lost his voice. After some minutes the band minus Le Bon came back on stage and started playing "Come Undone", with Lamya performing lead vocals and Warren Cuccurullo adding backing vocals.
The concert continued and finished with a total of only six songs played. All in attendance received a free pair of Levi jeans from the show's sponsor, plus a promise that the band would return to complete the show at a later date - a promise as yet unfulfilled.
Tickets for the event cost around fl 17.50.
