Riviera F are an electronic dance band, who were formed in the UK by Alexa Marlen and Kairo Sin.

History[]

Riviera F was formed by Russian born singer Alexa Marlen and Dutch guitarist Kairo Sin, after meeting at a London art college and initially recording demo tracks using a casio keyboard and a simple drum machine. Over time their sound developed with Logan Sky joining the line-up and more instruments being brought into the mix. The band played their first ever gig on the BBC's John Peel Radio One show, then they were signed by Nick Rhodes and Stephen Duffy's label Tape Modern which had previously released Dark Circles by The Devils. Riveira F's debut 2004 single "International Lover" was produced by Nick Rhodes, with the promotional video directed by Matt Amato and starring Billy Zane which featured in Hollywood's Resfest film festival, alongside videos from The Faint, and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's.

The group have played and deejayed alongside artists such as Ellen Allien, Hot Chip, Ladytron, Client, Vive La Fete and Radioactive Man, and toured the UK and Europe. Their music has been featured on Fashion TV, used for Dolce & Gabbana catwalk shows and Apollo Braun’s NY fashion week show. The band have also been deejaying and running their own club nights in London, including How To Pick Up Girls, Club Dollar, Now We’ve Got Europe and Xray Vision.
