Radio City Music Hall 1989 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Big Live Thing Tour at the Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY, USA on 10 March 1989.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Radio City Music Hall, a 6,015 capacity venue located in New York City's Rockefeller Center. This was the second of two shows performed in the state of New York on the tour.

Returning to the East coast city that Duran Duran first played in 1981, the band took to the stage at 8:00pm for this New York show with the spoken word intro recording of "God (London)".

The sold out crowd then erupted when Simon Le Bon began to sing "Get it up, get it out, get it in time", the opening lyrics to the first song "Big Thing".

Touring with their newest release, Big Thing, the band played a number of songs from the album, including, "I Don't Want Your Love" and "Palomino".

During the evening "All She Wants Is" featured a mixture of rock, funk and electronics that used to pulse on the Rum Runner dance floor.

After performing their most successful single "The Reflex", Duran Duran closed the show with "Rio".

Tickets for the event cost around $22.50.
