Phoenix Park Marquee is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Red Carpet Massacre Tour at the Phoenix Park Marquee in Dublin, Ireland on 5 December 2007.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Phoenix Park, the largest enclosed urban park in Europe. Duran Duran's show was part of a series of eight gigs in the Phoenix Park, held between 16 October and 5 November. Each date had an indoor marquee erected, with a capacity of 10,000 people per gig.

Returning to Ireland for their first concert since playing the Point Theatre in Dublin on 8 April 2004, Duran Duran featured a slightly different line-up with Dominic Brown on guitar.

The band opened the show with a song from their brand new album, Red Carpet Massacre, "The Valley". The track was energizing and had people dancing well before the next few songs.

As Duran Duran romped through their catalogue of hits including "Hungry Like the Wolf", Notorious" and "A View to a Kill", the crowd got louder.

A rocking encore of the highly-charged "Girls on Film" closed out the show.

Tickets for the event cost around 65.70 Euros.
