Palazzo del Te, Mantova: July 15, 2008 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Red Carpet Massacre Tour at the Palazzo del Te in Mantova, Italy on 15 July 2008.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Palazzo del Te, a place located in the suburbs of Mantova that's known for its mannerist style of architecture designed by Giulio Romano. This was the first of six shows performed in Italy on the tour.

The show opened with three songs from the Red Carpet Massacre album, followed by the much-loved "Hungry Like the Wolf". The stage layout featured huge "Girls on Film" style flashbulbs and a futuristic looking backdrop.

At the midway point of the show, all four members of Duran Duran appeared in matching black-satin suits to take centre stage. With John Taylor and Nick Rhodes on keyboards, Roger Taylor on electric drums, the band performed an extended electro medley. The set began with a new version of "Last Chance on the Stairway" and finished with "Tempted".

A rousing, rocking double encore of the highly-charged "The Wild Boys" and their ultimately defining hit "Rio" closed out the show.
