About the concert
Edit
This was Duran Duran's first ever show in Romania, staged at the Palace Hall located in the center of Bucharest. With a 4,060 capacity, the venue features floors and columns made from red marble.
The band line-up included guitarist Dominic Brown as a replacement for Andy Taylor, who performed his last concert for Duran Duran in Monaco on 4 August.
Duran Duran kicked off the show in front of a well-lit display that projected various images. The stage ignited into light when the band launched their 2-hour set with "Hungry Like the Wolf". Their debut single "Planet Earth" followed.
After a rocking performance of "Hold Back the Rain", Duran Duran then covered The Power Station's "Some Like It Hot", a song extensively played during The Big Live Thing Tour.
An encore featuring "Girls on Film" and "Rio" finished the show.
The opening act for the event was Directia 5, a Romanian band who formed in 1991.
Tickets for the event cost around 150 RON.
