Osaka 1984 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Sing Blue Silver Tour at the Osaka Castle Hall in Osaka, Japan on 23 January 1984.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Osaka Castle Hall, a 13,456 capacity venue also known as Osaka-jō Hall that's located in the Kyōbashi area of Osaka. The show was the fifth of seven dates performed in Japan on the tour.
This was the second time Duran Duran had played in Osaka, the first was almost two years earlier on 26 April 1982 at the Banpaku during The Rio Tour.
Duran Duran kicked off the show with "Is There Something I Should Know?", a song recorded in London with producer Ian Little in December 1982. More hits followed, including "Union of the Snake", the first single from Seven and the Ragged Tiger.
The evening finished with "Girls on Film", featuring band introductions.
Ticket prices for the event cost around 3,000 Japanese Yen.
