Ontario Theater 1982 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Rio Tour at the Ontario Theatre in Washington, DC, USA on 24 June 1982.

About the albumEdit

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Ontario Theatre, a 1,364 capacity venue located at 1700 Columbia Road NW in Washington. This was the only show performed in the District of Columbia on the tour.

The evening began at 8:00pm with opening act Split Enz, a New Wave band from New Zealand featuring Phil Judd and brothers Tim Finn and Neil Finn.

On tour in support of their second studio album Rio, Duran Duran launched their set with four songs from the new album. Then the band took the crowd back to their 1981 debut single "Planet Earth".

The album is a good audience quality recording, with slight static noises especially during "Planet Earth". The final track is a powerful punk version of "Anyone Out There".
