Now & Zen 03 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Reunion Tour at the Now & Zen Fest in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA, USA on 21 September 2003.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance in Golden Gate Park, an urban park configured as a rectangle over three miles long.

This was the first time Duran Duran had performed at the Now & Zen Fest, an annual event sponsored by the San Francisco based commercial radio KLLC (97.3 FM, "Alice@97.3"). Members of Duran Duran would return two years later for Now & Zen 2005.

The show was 19 years after Duran Duran's appearance at the Oakland Coliseum, filmed for the movie Sing Blue Silver. That was the last time all five original members played the Bay Area.

Headlining the festival, Duran Duran opened their show with "Friends of Mine", a song from the band's debut album Duran Duran.

With fine weather and Simon Le Bon wearing all black, the band then played the crowd pleasing "Hungry Like the Wolf".

The setlist included many of their hits, "Save A Prayer", "Ordinary World", and "Rio". Plus, there were performances of two new songs "What Happens Tomorrow" and "Virus".

The evening finished with an encore of "White Lines" and Girls on Film".

Tickets for the event cost around $30.00 plus applicable charges.

Recordings from the show of "Save A Prayer" and "Girls on Film" were included on Alice@97.3: This Is Alice Music 8.
