About the album
Edit
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Nottingham Arena, a 10,000 capacity indoor venue located in the city center. This the fourth time the band had performed in Nottingham, the first was on 5 March 1981 at Rock City (see Collectibles for poster).
Held on Easter Sunday, Duran Duran entered to the sound of analogue synthesizer beats, all members lining up on stage in the spotlights. Simon Le Bon stood in the center, wearing a white jacket.
The band soon opened the show with a rock version of "Sunrise", followed by their 80s hit "Hungry Like the Wolf".
After several more songs from the 1980s, Andy Taylor was playing Warren Cuccurullo's guitar chords on "Come Undone".
When "The Chauffeur" finished, the lights rose, Le Bon picked up his guitar and introduced another new song, "Beautiful Colours". The track was played whilst screens at the back of the stage projected images of flowers in all colours.
"Notorious" metamorphosised briefly into Chic's "We Are Family".
During the encore, "Girls on Film" featured Le Bon introducing each band member.
