Nostalgic for Nothing is a compilation album by American punk rock band J Church, released by Broken Rekids in 1995. The album features a cover version of Duran Duran's "Planet Earth".

About the album[]

This is the second singles collection album released by J Church, a band formed by guitarist/vocalist Lance Hahn and bassist Gardner Maxam in San Francisco, California during 1992. Nostalgic for Nothing was compiled from eight separate main single releases (some tracks appeared on multiple singles), though technically it's only seven, as one never actually came out.

Eighteen of the songs are originals, the following are covers: "At the End of the M1" (Wat Tyler); "Cool Guitar Girl" (Heavenly); "Last of the Famous International Playboys" (Morrissey); "Living With The Dreaming Body" (Poi Dog Pondering); "Mary Provost" (Nick Lowe); "No Doves Fly Here" (The Mob); "Not Given Lightly" (Tall Dwarves); "Planet Earth" (Duran Duran).
