Nokia Theatre, Grand Prairie: Dec 12th 2007 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded at the Mix 102.9 KDMX-FM's Eye Candy Christmas Concert.
The event was held at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, Dallas, TX, USA on 12 December 2007.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Nokia Theatre, a 6,350 capacity venue located in a suburb between Dallas and Fort Worth. This was the second of three shows in the state of Texas on The Red Carpet Massacre Tour.
After opening act James Blunt finished his set that included "You're Beautiful" and "Wise Men", Duran Duran began with updated dance-club rhythms from their latest release Red Carpet Massacre.
Duran Duran then delved into their back catalogue, starting with the funk influenced hit "Notorious". The shimmering synths of their debut hit "Planet Earth" followed, a song that had the crowd dancing and singing along.
The evening finished with the only encore song "Girls on Film", featuring Simon Le Bon introducing the band.
