Munich is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at the Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany on 10 May 1987.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Olympiahalle, a 14,000 capacity venue that's part of the Olympic Park in Munich. This was the last of seven shows performed in Germany on the tour.

As the lights dimmed, the audience roared and Duran Duran took to the stage for their first ever show in Munich. The band soon launched into their Bond-movie theme "A View to a Kill".

"Notorious" was next, a song played with a brass section with Nile Rodgers funk influences.

During the evening there was a back-to-back performance featuring Duran Duran's side project bands of Arcadia and The Power Station. This performance began with "Election Day" and led into "Some Like It Hot".

The show featured a cross section from Duran Duran's catalogue of material, including seven songs from their latest release Notorious.

Ticket prices for the event cost around 37.00 Deutsche Marks.

The tour poster features Duran Duran photography by Matthew Rolston.
