Mixtime 2 is a compilation album featuring Duran Duran and Arcadia, released in Italy by EMI-ITALIANA S.p.A. during 1985.
About the album[]
The album contains DJ mixes of songs by various artists, created by Italian record producer and remixer Joe T. Vannelli. This was Vannelli's second remix album and a follow up to his Mixtime, released in 1984.
The compilation features UB40, a band from Birmingham who were produced by Bob Lamb during the same period he was working with Duran Duran on early demos.
The album also includes "Alive And Kicking" by Scottish band Simple Minds featuring drummer Mel Gaynor, who later performed with John Adams supporting Duran Duran on some Strange Behaviour Tour shows in 1987.
