Melanie Redmond is a British vocalist and music related career woman, who has toured with musical artists including Duran Duran.
Biography[]
Melanie is currently working in music management (Eg White, Jonathan Quarmby, Matthew Marston, MEZZ, Will Heard) after 3 years as the head of publishing at Trevor Horn's publishing company, Perfect Songs. Before that she worked for seven years in A + R at Sony ATV Music Publishing.
Beginning her career as a session singer, Melanie in the 1980s and early 1990s toured with artists including Bob Geldof, The The, Bill Wyman, and performing with Duran Duran during The Big Live Thing Tour.
She has also worked with artists such as Dolly Parton, Donny Osmond, Chris Rea, Sting and featured in Andy Taylor's 1990 "Lola" video.
In 2003, Melanie became part of a very successful pop quartet of over-forty women, a Chiswick, UK based group calling itself Fortyfied, created and produced by Keith Chegwin's twin brother, Jeff Chegwin.
