Mark Kennedy is an Australian drummer, who over the years has performed with Spectrum, Ayers Rock, Marcia Hines, Doug Parkinson In Focus, Renee Geyer Band, Kevin Borich Express, Billy Thorpe and Men At Work. He has also played with Ringo Starr as well as playing on over 500 albums, including Duran Duran's Seven and the Ragged Tiger.

Biography[]

Mark rose to prominence as the original drummer in Spectrum, a band formed in Melbourne (Australia) during 1969. He left the band in late 1970 just after recording their first LP and becoming an in-demand session player, as well as working in a series of loosely connected groups including King Harvest.

During the 1980s Mark performed on many albums including Seven and the Ragged Tiger by Duran Duran, Years Later by Cactus World News and The Last Romance by Birtles & Goble. In 1985 Mark joined the Australian band Men At Work and performed on the band's Two Hearts album but left soon after that, and was replaced by Chad Wackerman.

Mark is currently performing with Leo Sayer, James Southwell Band, Kevin Borich.
