Marcello Anciano (BA, MA) is a British film and music video director, who has directed videos for many musical acts including Arcadia and Andy Taylor.

Biography Edit

During the formation of the music videos during the early 1980s Marcelo was writing for 3 out of the 5 directors in the fledgling music video world. He later directed over 100 music videos and commercials and for over ten years working with such diverse talents as Peter Gabriel, Little Richard, Gloria Estefan, Arnold Shwarzenegger and Danny DeVito amongst many others. He formed a film production company that specialised in commercials and music videos with a stable of over 8 film directors with offices in LA and London.

In 1992 Marcelo wrote Hyde, a script that was based upon Stevenson’s classic story. He also formed Wandering Star Media with Paul and Michael Berrow (former managers of Duran Duran), and bought the rights for Modesty Blaise, a highly prized newspaper script character. Within a week Modesty Blaise was at home with Miramax film company. In 2004 Marcello produced the film My Name Is Modesty Blaise with Paul and Michael Berrow, a film directed by Scott Spiegel and starring Alexandra Staden.
