Malta: July 26, 2008 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Red Carpet Massacre Tour at the Luxol Parade Ground in Pembroke, Malta on 26 July 2008.
About the album
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Luxol Parade Ground. On 24 July the band arrived in Malta to perform their first ever show in Malta, held outdoors in front of 9,000 people.
On a warm evening, the concert began at 9:30pm with "The Valley" from the Red Carpet Massacre album. This was followed by a setlist that spanned Duran Duran's 30 year music career. Songs included the band's debut single "Planet Earth", plus the James Bond-movie theme "A View To A Kill".
"If you could judge a country's wealth from its bread, Malta would have to be the richest". John Taylor commented just after the band's concert, which surpassed two hours.
