Maison Rouge - The Big Thing Sessions is an unofficial Duran Duran compilation album.
About the album[]
The album is a collection of Duran Duran tracks, recorded during the demo sessions for the 1988 Big Thing album, held at the Maison Rouge recording studios in Wansdown Place, Fulham Broadway, London, UK.
The album also includes two bonus tracks, featuring "I Don't Want Your Love" mixes.
"Big Thing"
The track "Big Thing" is not a demo song, but the Accapella version.
"Capitol Chill"
This is the unreleased track also known as "Bomb". The song was originally known as "Bomb" in the early sessions, with the name changing to "Capitol Chill" before the song was scrapped altogether. Neither of the song's titles are mentioned in the lyrics.
"Sex"
This is the early demo of "All She Wants Is", with different lyrics and simpler music.
"Take Me"
The early demo of "Drug", with different lyrics.
"I Believe" / "All I Need To Know"
This track is an extended version of the B-side of "All She Wants Is", featuring a longer saxophone solo.
"I Don't Want Your Love" (Power Rhythm Mix)
Remixed by Michael Marshall and originally released on Art of Mix: Volume 5 in 1988.
