Louis César Ewandé is a musician and teacher specialising in African percussion, whose work has included performing on Duran Duran's Big Thing album.
Biography[]
Louis studied Mandingo Percussion Fotigui in France, Senegal and Guinea, also training in piano jazz and classical. He has performed and toured with musical acts including the LC Ewande Percussion Ensemble from 1984 to 1991, and later as a member of Ray Lema Band from 1990 to 1992. In 1988 Louis performed Urban Jungle drums on Duran Duran's "Lake Shore Driving", released on the Big Thing album.
Louis also teaches privately in his studio in Aujargues located near Nimes, and supervises courses regularly in Lyon and Switzerland.
