Lost Prophets is an unofficial Duran Duran double 12" vinyl live album, recorded during The Big Live Thing Tour at the Palatrussardi in Milan, Italy on 12 December 1988.

The band Lostprophets took their name from this album.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Palatrussardi, a 8,479 capacity venue located at Via Antonio Sant'Elia, 33. This was the last of three shows performed in Milan on the tour.

Broadcast on Italian TV, the show began with an intro featuring the spoken word "God (London)". "Italia, Italia, are you ready?" was the cry from Simon Le Bon as the band drove into the opening song "I Don't Want Your Love".

Supported by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, drummer Sterling Campbell, two horn players and two backing singers, the band followed with their 1982 hit single "Hungry Like the Wolf".

During the evening John Taylor introduced "Girls on Film" by saying "This is a song for all of you who like to watch."

Simon Le Bon encouraged the crowd to stamp their feet before "The Wild Boys", a no.1 single in Italy.

The evening finished with an encore featuring "Rio", one of the band's most recognizable songs.

Tickets for the event cost around 25,000 lira.

The double vinyl records were released in a unique picture sleeve, with a printing error on "Hungry Like the Wolf".
