About the song Edit

The song was written during demo sessions for the Astronaut album, which began in the south of France in June 2001. The band wrote more than 30 songs during the demo sessions that continued into 2002 and 2003.

Lyrics Edit

Waiting for you

   It's a lonely business

   What more can I do

I could be here until Christmas

Why do you want to go saying those sins about me?

Don't you know that a girl can't be made to hurry?

Don't you want me to feel like a million dollars?

I'm just taking some time out to make a difference

Chained, one step over the line

Trying to get something to work

All I need is someone to say

   After all

   What's the mystery?

   When everybody wants to know

   About destiny

Just trying to kill a little time

   Working hard day to day

   Why complain about it

Don't you know that a man can't be mad about it

   Woman at the top

   Why's the story so familiar

   Something's got to drop

For this hombre to remain here

Chained, dream up some while she's trying

Trying to find something to wear

All you need is someone to say

   Here we go

   What's the mystery?

   When everybody wants to know

   About destiny

Are you ready for the use of time?

   Waiting for you

   It's a lonely business

   What more can I do

I could be here until Christmas

Chained, one step over the line

Trying to get something to work

All I need is someone to say

   After all

   What's the mystery?

   When everybody wants to know

   About destiny

Just trying to kill a little time

   What's the mystery?

   'cause everybody wants to know

   What's their destiny?

Are you ready for the use of time?

   What's the mystery?
