Live in Oslo, December 11th 2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, Spectrum in Oslo, Norway on 11 December 2005.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Spectrum, a 13,000 capacity venue located in east central Oslo. This was Duran Duran's second appearance in Norway during 2005.

The album features Duran Duran's complete performance at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. The event is staged annually on the same date, one day after the date of Alfred Nobel's death, to honour the Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

An award ceremony took place at the City Hall in Oslo on December 10, while this concert was held at the Oslo Spektrum Arena the following evening. The concert was broadcast to over 100 countries.

The five original members of Duran Duran kicked their set off with "Sunrise", followed by "Ordinary World" from The Wedding Album.

Before the band finished with "Nice", Simon Le Bon said "I would just like to tell you how happy Duran Duran are to be in your country, your're very beautiful people. You do something that the rest of the world loves you for, you honor peace."
