Live In Osaka 14.08.05 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the Summer Sonic, Maisha in Osaka, Japan on 14 August 2005.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Summer Sonic, an annual rock festival run at the same time in Osaka and Chiba (near Tokyo). The majority of the bands who performed in Chiba on the first day (including Duran Duran), went to Osaka the following day and vice versa.

Playing at the same time as Nine Inch Nails, Duran Duran headlined the Mountain Stage and opened with their 2004 hit "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise". The band then followed with a selection of songs from their first three albums, which included a performance of "Planet Earth".

After "The Wild Boys", the evening finished with Duran Duran's ultimately defining hit "Rio".
