Live In Manchester: 2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, UK on 18 December 2005.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the M.E.N. Arena, a 21,000 capacity venue in the city center. This was the only show performed in Manchester on the tour.

One week before Christman, the five original members of Duran Duran took to the stage of the M.E.N. Arena, decked out with five rectangular screens that doubled as spectacular flame-throwers.

Now on the tail end of a mammoth run, which has seen Duran Duran play in 22 different countries to more than 3.5 million fans, the band opened the show with "Friends of Mine".

During the show Duran Duran covered "Instant Karma!", a song recorded by the band to commemorate the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's death. "A View to a Kill" had the crowd on its feet, each person singing along with Simon Le Bon, and Nick Rhodes provided the haunting synth lines.

The show finished with "The Wild Boys, complete with maximum audience participation and pyrotechnic flame effects.

Tickets for the event cost around £37.67.
