Live In London: December 22, 2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the Earls Court Arena in London, UK on 22 December 2005.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Earls Court Arena, a 19,000 capacity venue located in west London. This was the last of two London dates played in 2005, and the final British show to feature guitarist Andy Taylor.
Special VIP Earls Court collectable sets were given out during the evening to qualifying recipients.
Two songs from Duran Duran's debut album opened the show, which featured a slightly different setlist from the European summer dates. More hits followed including "Union of the Snake", featuring a Hamilton saxophone solo.
The evening saw Simon Le Bon attempted a crowd surf during "Hold Back the Rain". Later "Ordinary World" was performed with stage lighting that shone like stars in the night sky.
Duran Duran closed out the show with a performance of "The Wild Boys", played with bursts of pyrotechnic fire.
Tickets for the event cost around £35.00.
