Live In Holmdel: 30-07-05 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the PNC Bank Arena in Holmdel, NJ, USA on 30 July 2005.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the PNC Bank Arena, 17,500 capacity modern amphitheatre used from May through to September. This was the third of four shows performed in the state of New Jersey on the tour.

Taking to the open air stage, Duran Duran opened the show with "Friends of Mine" and the much-loved "Hungry Like the Wolf". Digging all the way back to their 1981 debut single, "Planet Earth" was next. As John Taylor played the bouncy bass lines, Nick Rhodes punctuated the song with his near-trademark synth sound.

Within seconds of "A View to a Kill" starting, the entire crowd was singing along with Le Bon. The song sounded precisely as it does on record, with Rhodes providing the haunting synth lines.

Throughout the night, the band mixed most of their greatest hits with new songs. In total, five tracks from Astronaut were played.

The evening finished with "Rio", featuring an Andy Hamilton saxophone solo.
