Live In Glasgow: December 16th 2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the S.E.C.C. in Glasgow, UK on 16 December 2005.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Hall 4 of the S.E.C.C., a 10,000 capacity venue located on the north bank of the River Clyde. This was the first of five UK dates played by Duran Duran in December 2005.
Reunited as a quintet for the first time since 1985’s "A View to a Kill", Duran Duran opened the show with two songs from their debut album.
The band then continued with the title track from Astronaut, followed by "Union of the Snake", which featured an Andy Hamilton solo.
Near the end of the show, a hard-edged version of "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise" had the crowd pumping their fists in the air every time Simon Le Bon motioned for them to do so.
The evening finished with "The Wild Boys", which featured a pyrotechnic fire display.
Tickets for the event cost around £32.50.
