Live from Buenos Aires is an unofficial Duran Duran limited edition live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the Personal Fest, Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 3 December 2005.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Personal Fest, an annual music festival held in Buenos Aires since 2004. The event was named after its main sponsor Personal and is televised nationally in Argentina.
Duran Duran headlined the 2005 weekend event on the Saturday evening. The weekend also included performances by the US pop-punk band Good Charlotte, Simple Minds, Macy Grey and Erykah Badu.
Taking to the stage for their first show in Argentina since 1993, Duran Duran opened with their 2004 hit "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise". The band then took the audience back to the 1980s with a selection of songs from their first three albums.
"Its time to put on your dancing shoes" said Simon Le Bon, before the band played their Nile Rodgers co-produced "Notorious".
After a cover version of John Lennon's "Instant Karma!, the show closed with a strong performance of "The Wild Boys".
Tickets for the event cost around $70:00 (Argentine Peso).
"Nobody Knows" is also available on the Japanese only promo compilation album Songs & Scores (produced by Nick Wood) and the unofficial album Simon Le Bon Story.
The album was released with a 4-page booklet and a wrap-around obi-strip.
