Issued in a plain white sleeve with a cue sheet for radio presenters, the album was used for licence broadcast during the week of 18 June 1984.

The compilation includes a live performance of "Of Crime and Passion" by Duran Duran, recorded during The Sing Blue Silver Tour in the USA.

The Nile Rodgers co-produced "Modern Love" is also featured, a song by David Bowie from his Lets Dance album.
