Last Day on Tour: Great America, Santa Clara is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Pop Trash Tour at the Redwood Amphitheater, Great America in Santa Clara, CA, USA on 3 September 2000.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Redwood Amphitheater, a 10,000 capacity outdoor venue located inside an amusement park in Santa Clara.

Paramounts and The Channel 104.9 FM teamed up for this event, known as the Labor Day Distraction concert.

The Motels, led by Martha Davis on vocals and rhythm guitar kicked off the evening with a set that included their hit "Suddenly Last Summer".

This was the last stop on the US tour for Duran Duran, who played a high energy show that lasted over 2 hours and included two encores. The band, led by Simon Le Bon on vocals and Nick Rhodes on keyboards, along with long time guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, were precise on the sound and had the audience on their feet for the whole evening.

Duran Duran touring with their newest release, Pop Trash, played a number of songs from the album, including, "Hallucinating Elvis", in which Le Bon changed into an Elivs Presley outfit and danced just like the king.

In addition to this, the band performed some of their greatest hits, such as "Notorious", "A View to a Kill", "Hungry Like the Wolf", and the nights finale, "Rio".

Tickets for the event cost around $34.99.
