About the album Edit
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at La Cigale, a 1389 standing (or 954 seated) capacity venue located at 120, Boulevard de Rochechouart near Place Pigalle in the 18th arrondissement of Paris.
This was the only show performed in France on the tour, which comprised of twenty dates in twelve countries.
Just over four years after playing the 1988 Bercy concert in Paris, Duran Duran returned to the French capital city and launched this show with "Planet Earth". Simon Le Bon then began their 80s hit "Hungry Like the Wolf" with "In touch with the ground", a song performed with a different arrangement.
The album features very clear audible backing vocals by Lamya, which are normally hidden by the other instruments. After "Ordinary World", Lamya performed backing vocals on "Come Undone" that Tessa Niles recorded for the 1993 album Duran Duran.
