Italian Acoustic is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during An Acoustic Evening Tour at the Rolling Stone in Milan, Italy on 21 February 1993.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Rolling Stone, a venue located at Corso XXII Marzo 32 in Milan. This was the last of two shows performed in Italy on the tour.
During the afternoon before the concert, Duran Duran performed "Come Undone" and "Ordinary World" on the Italian TV show Buona Domenica.
Just over four years after playing the 1988 Lost Prophets show in Milan, Duran Duran returned to the city and launched this show with "Planet Earth". A different arrangement of "Hungry Like the Wolf" followed, featuring a cello and violins.
Partially aired on Italian TV, the show was held two days before the release of The Wedding Album. "Come Undone" was the second track taken from the album during the evening, introduced as 'a love song' by Simon Le Bon.
The album also includes one of the oldest performances of "UMF", another new song showcased.
Duran Duran closed the show with their ultimately defining hit "Rio".
