Hungary: 08-06-2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Budapest, Hungary on 8 June 2005.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna, a 12,500 capacity venue that was named after a Hungarian boxing great and is the country's largest indoor arena. This was Duran Duran's only show in Hungary on the tour.

Supported by a massive light show, Duran Duran took to the stage and opened with "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise". The band wasted no time and picked up speed right from the start, launching into their second song "Hungry Like the Wolf".

Throughout the night, the band mixed most of their greatest hits with new songs. In total, five tracks from Astronaut were played.

After a brief break, the band returned for two encores, "Girls on Film" and "Rio". During the band introductions Simon Le Bon picked a member of the audience and asked "Would you introduce me?". Le Bon then encouraged the crowd to sing "Happy Birthday" to celebrate Nick Rhodes' 43rd Birthday. The bootleg features only Rhodes on the cover.

Tickets for the event cost around 9900 Hungarian Forint.
