Hammersmith Palais: 13-01-2005 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded at the Hammersmith Palais in London, UK on 13 July 2005.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Hammersmith Palais, a ballroom and entertainment venue in London that operated from 1919 until 2007.
This was a special concert recorded by BBC Radio 2 in the UK for the Live & Exclusive radio show series. The audience were made up of Radio 2 competition winners and members of the Duran Duran fan community.
The radio broadcast was aired on Saturday 29 January between 9:30-10:30pm, just days before Duran Duran's second Astronaut single "What Happens Tomorrow" was released.
Comments by Simon Le Bon before the event:
"This will be our first show of the New Year, before we head off for The Astronaut Tour, which kicks off in Japan in late January. Over the last few weeks, we've been working on the live arrangements of the new material from the album and are now very much looking forward to playing them for our fans."
